About this blog

This blog will be about the underlying stories and messages in pop culture, from a female, feminist perspective. 

I wanted to start this blog because I'm a lover of pop and country music, but sometimes, I'm just overwhelmed by what I think are harmful messages underneath the shiny production values. I think these messages go largely unexamined. So I want to do some of that examination and post it here.  

Thanks for reading, and I hope it will be helpful to some, to look at what messages we internalize and how that affects feelings and decisions in our own lives.
